Chris Presley – Account Coordinator

Headshot

Hello,

I am the Account Coordinator working alongside John Griffin serving our clients who advertise on 93.5/1070 The Fan, 107..5 ESPN, Network Indiana, and 93.1 WIBC.

A little more than half of my life has been spent in the Central Indiana area. Moving to Fishers in 2001, followed by a quick relocation further north to Noblesville  where I began my new Hoosier life. My entire life I have attended parochial schools in the area, starting with St. Louis de Montfort in Fishers and then attending Guerin Catholic High School as I grew older. While attending Guerin I played basketball and baseball as my interest in sports became a passion.

After high school I moved on to Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. The main reason I decided to further my education at Bellarmine was an opportunity to start their sports broadcasting department. From day one I was able to call games through our student-run online radio station. In my collegiate career I called over 100 combined women’s and men’s basketball games. While traveling with our men’s program I had the great fortune to call multiple Division II tournament games, such as the Elite 8, Final 4 and also a National Championship game.

Being Sports Director for our station let me take a microscopic look at how a station operates. My interest into a career in radio grew as my time in school continued. I was fortunate enough to have personal contacts who already had established themselves here at Emmis, and because of those relationships I would get the chance to continue my journey once I graduated.

Although I am new to this position I am not new to Emmis Communications. For the past two years I have been a part of the promotional team here in Indy. With that opportunity came a chance for me to become very hands on with the execution of client needs. After a year working for the promotional team I was promoted to Team Lead of 93.5/1070 The Fan. It was in this role that I really started to make strides toward a more permanent role, here, within the company.

With this new role I am aware that there is a lot expected of me. I am fortunate to have a chance to work for one of the most respected sales people that this company has ever seen. It is important for me to continue learning each and every day. This is a great moment for me to jump in head first to the sales side of radio and see just how much goes on. My dream is to continue on this sales path for years to come, and I hope that some on-air work down the road might come as well.
