All Indiana! Bicentennial Statehood Week

The Indiana Bicentennial comes to a grand finale this week. See what the state has planned for the celebration.

Though the flagship Bicentennial Torch Relay is finished, there’s still one last important piece of Indiana’s 200th statehood anniversary to celebrate: Statehood Day on December 11th.

Celebrate Indiana: Ignite the Future is the final celebration of Indiana’s Bicentennial, taking place on the 200th anniversary of Indiana’s admission into the union on December 11th, 1816.

The event will feature a diverse array of speakers, music, and dance, all focused on celebrating and inspiring the next generation of Hoosiers to “Ignite the Future.” Entertainment features the Hunter Smith Band (Smith is the event’s emcee) and the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, amongst others.

What: Celebrate Indiana: Ignite the Future – the finale of the state’s Bicentennial celebration.

Where: Indiana Farmers Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds

When: Sunday, December 11th, 2016, from 10am – noon.

Cost: Parking and admission are free for all.
